MY FAITH VOTES CONGRATULATES NEIL GORSUCH AS HE IS SWORN IN TO THE SUPREME COURT

DALLAS, Texas — My Faith Votes, the non-partisan movement focused on motivating American Evangelicals to be active and involved citizens, releases the following statement congratulating the Supreme Court’s new member, Justice Gorsuch:

“On behalf of My Faith Votes and the community of American Evangelicals our movement represents, we offer our sincere congratulations to America’s new Supreme Court justice, Neil Gorsuch. His nomination—and confirmation—was the most significant campaign promise of the 2016 election. As such, it represents a triumph for the many Evangelicals who based their vote on the future of the Supreme Court.

“The Bible instructs us to pray for ‘all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness’ (1 Timothy 2:2). We therefore commit to pray for Justice Gorsuch as he sits in the Highest Court of our Land. May he serve the American people wisely, with justice and equity toward all.”

My Faith Votes— is a ministry that motivates, equips, and activates Christians in America to vote in every election, transforming our communities and influencing our nation with biblical truth. An estimated 25 million Christians who are registered to vote, fail to vote in presidential elections. My Faith Votes is on a mission to change this statistic by helping Christians act on their faith and vote in every election. When we pray unceasingly for our nation, think biblically about the issues, and vote consistently in every election the impact of Christians taking action from the local to the state and federal level will be unprecedented.
