Rejoice - Weekly Devotional
This week's focus: Rejoice
Rejoice is defined as:
- feel or show great joy or delight.
- to be glad
Father, the joy the of the Lord is our strength; therefore, let us rejoice as a nation and as a people that have been blessed beyond all that we could ask or conceive. Let us pray each day for Your divine guidance, Lord, and never forget Your benefits. Thank You, Lord, that You welcome us to Your throne of grace to receive Your blessing.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV)
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Prayer Points:
- Pray for the Lord to put a strong hedge of protection around the nation itself during this time of decision. With just 78 days until the November 3 election, this is a critical time to be praying for our nation and all the elections taking place. "May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you" (Ps. 33:22).
- A new survey shows that the majority of Americans no longer believe that Jesus is the path to salvation and instead believe that being a good person is sufficient. Pray for a spirit of repentance to fall upon the Church in America that would cause believers to turn back to God and seek Him. "God looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God" (Ps. 53:2).
We want to see God honored in America, and we pray for an unprecedented spiritual awakening.
