Acceptance - Weekly Devotional
This week's focus: Acceptance
Acceptance is described as:
- the act of accepting something or someone
- a favorable response
Lord, I thank you for your acceptance—for your gracious welcome and salvation. I pray today that you would fill my heart with the acceptance you have extended to me. Show me how to respond favorably to those around me and especially how your spirit of acceptance might inform my votes this primary season and in November. May your gracious acceptance and salvation spread across our land through your people this election. (For further reading, see Jeremiah 1)
2 Corinthians 6:2 (AMP)
“For He says, In the time of favor (of an assured welcome) I have listened to and heeded your call, and I have helped you on the day of deliverance (the day of salvation). Behold, now is truly the time for a gracious welcome and acceptance [of you from God]; behold, now is the day of salvation!”
Prayer Points:
- Cases of the coronavirus continue to rise, and the Chinese government has quarantined millions of people. Let’s continue to pray that the infection and virus will be brought to a halt and for the healing of those already infected. Pray especially for China. Chinese pastors and friends living in lockdown cities have expressed how challenging life has become to obtain necessities such as food, water, and electricity. Workers are staying home, and trade as virtually come to a standstill.
- Be in prayer for an upcoming Supreme Court Case hearing on March 4th. The critical case could determine a new direction for Roe v. Wade, the case that made abortion legal in 1973. Learn more here.
We want to see God honored in America, and we pray for an unprecedented spiritual awakening.
